Progress

“If you don’t monitor your progress, you won’t know if you’re moving in the right direction (or if you’re actually ‘moving’ at all).” – ActionPodcast.com, “The Importance of Tracking Your Progress in Goal Setting”

In this section of Figuring It Out I will be tracking my physical progress. Various metrics will be used for this at different spans of time. Check out my post about my “ideal body” for my goals and how they were calculated.

Daily

  • Weight

Weekly

  • Total body weight (in pounds)
  • Body fat percentage (calculated with calipers)
  • Lean body mass
  • 7 day weight average
  • Pictures….

Monthly

  • Chest circumference (inches)
  • Shoulder circumference
  • Waist
  • Biceps
  • Upper legs
  • Calves

I have a specific goal for each of these metrics. There are actually some formulas that I used to calculate my goals. I will share these formulas and define my goals in the next progress post, The Golden Ratio, which will be posted within the next few days.
